Mixed emotions on this trip. Been excited all day about going in the big one - the River Sheaf. I packed the Peli case with the SLR and the new bright lights and headed off down the big one.
Wanted to experience the trip from start to finish - so I entered the the upstream entrance. [...]

Minitron?
March 11th, 2009 · No Comments
After thinking it over for several months, I finally bit the bullet and went looking for some underground rivers in Sheffield. I had intended to go to Megatron, but in the end I went and checked out another tunnel which I believe will ultimately link up with Megatron. I have a new bright light on [...]

Firth Vickers Power House - The Sheffield Time Capsule
January 26th, 2008 · 2 Comments
I spied this place in October 2006, this was before I knew that Dweeb had already explored it. Its looks like a large black shed on the other side of Meadowhall. Since Dweebs visit in July 2006, this place has been locked down and nobody to me knowledge has been back.

SUFC - Rooftop, daytime visit
January 25th, 2008 · 2 Comments
Snappel and I made our way to the roof of SUFC to do a rooftop explore in the day.
We thought we’d get a good look whilst everyone was preoccupied with the match, SUFC were playing away. It was a great excuse to take someone else up here to enjoy the view.

The Sheffield Courthouse - Night and Day
January 20th, 2008 · No Comments
The reason I’ve ‘come out’ with this site is because its being destroyed. Sometimes you visit a place and its in such good nick that you don’t think its worth advertising or promoting, not because you don’t want other people to see it but because you don’t want it destroyed.
As was the case with [...]

Middlewood Clock Tower
January 18th, 2008 · No Comments
This was all that there was left of Middlewood Asylum and this was even being redone inside when I visited. The clockfaces were long gone, but there was a wonderful spiral staircase and the clear blue sky meant I was able to get some excellent high contrast shots.
