This is an interesting site with a lot of history. It has been an automotive parts manufacturer since WWII under various ownership Denso Manufacturing Midlands Ltd, a motor vehicle components manufacturer specialising in agricultural and heavy goods vehicles, was the last company to use this site.

Jugholes Mine, Derbyshire

Visited this mine today (15th April 2007). This was a lead mine in the late 1800s. It was a boom and bust mine and opened and closed pretty quickly. Although not strictly urbex, I thought this might be of some interest to mine enthusiasts, given that it has some nice industrial archeology in it.

I was pretty excited about looking behind the scenes of a theme park and this place didn’t disappoint!! The theme park closed its doors for the last time in 2006. All of the bits and bobs were auctioned off in May 2007.

RAF Stenigot, Lincolnshire

RAF Stenigot operated as a WW2 Radar station from 1940 until 1959. Apparently it was in 1959 that three of the masts were dismantled and replaced with these distinctive parabolic dishes, when it was redeveloped as a Nato communications relay station.
